One of the best without a doubt. How can we complain about anything whan we know what her fate will be? It just tears me up to read how kind, positive and optimistic she is most of the time. That lovely voice silenced only because she was a Jew. You have to wonder what might have been if not for Hitler.

This was a perfect copy until I tried to release it today. Placed it on top of wall and I guess it fell off into some muddy water. Someone picked it up before it was completely ruined. That wasn't the worst thing. Whomever was handling the book tore the corner off the cover. I am just sick about it and I brought it home. It is now under a HUGE dictionary to dry but I can't fix the corner. Rats! this doesn't often happen but I hated that it happened to this book in particular.

i am currently reading the book -- havent read it since high school. i think that i previously read a very edited version... it's amazing.
i found her in the reading room at bryant park. the cover is very brittle -- every time i put it in my bag, another piece of the cover falls off (must be a result of the puddle!) i put some tape on the cover -- hopefully that will deter future deterioration. will release as soon as i am done.
