a fictional biography of a legendary circus woman, Mabel Stark. She revolutionised animal performances in the circus, particularly large cats, especially tigers. surviving dozens of maulings, and changing the ways that animals were treated by circuses makes her interesting enough. multiple marriages, eccentricty (sexual eccentricities), and behind the scenes circus life makes the book an interesting read. not interesting enough for me to finish though.
