I've picked up a few books at a charity shop sale.
A classic children's book.
A classic children's book.
Swapped with londonmet - thanks so much, this has been recommended by several people and I'm happy to get the chance to read it!
This is ... well, it's sweet. I'd heard great things about it representing a new innocent way of looking at the world that we could all learn from. Well, up to a point, Lord Copper. I think it might be different if you grew up loving it - but for me, approaching it as an adult, it seems a bit fey. It's interesting, some books for younger readers (E. Nesbit, say, or Tamora Pierce) you can appreciate at any age. This one didn't really do it for me. Will perhaps pass it on to someone younger.
Gave to a friend to share the joy of bookcrossing.
