Book cover: “Orla McLeod and a nine-year-old boy are the only ones left alive in a freezing Glasgow tenement building after a Special Branch undercover operation she was spearheading has gone disastrously wrong. There is no way Orla is going to let anyone else take care of Jamie Buchanan. Not when Jamie is the sole witness to Tord Svenson committing an act of savagery of the kind that’s rapidly turning him into one of the most feared criminals in Europe."
'Compulsive reading from page one to the shattering conclusion.' Denise Mina
Well, the book jacket burble has certainly grabbed my attention. Looking forward to reading this.

Goodness, how sweet, it appears that this is the 61st book I registered with bookcrossing in my early BXing days, 2004, where I was still making a chronologically numbered list of books as I registered them. That list numbered around 71 before I found different ways of keeping my own records.
More importantly what did I think of this… There’s blood, acts of torture, seeming betrayal and distracting loyalty and some utterly malignant misdirection. Seriously gutsy action, with an un-put-downable drive. Say goodbye to sleep!
I am saving this for release during July’s UK BookCrossing Un-Convention in Edinburgh as the author is Scottish and this is set in Glasgow and on the West Coast of Scotland. Meanwhile I am marking it as ‘Available’ in case anyone interested wants to pm me to arrange a swap for it.

I am about to nip up to Orkney again WHOOP for the wedding of Donald, a relative, to Sara a soon-to-be-relative. VERY EXCITED to have the opportunity to celebrate with them & of course planning to release the odd book! I shall pop back to this space in due course to leave a review and ‘release’ details of when and where I left this.
