"Lines in the Sand" is Anne Deveson's first novel. It is crafted from her wide experience as a journalist and knowledge of war corespondence. Nick Farrow, acclaimed Producer of foreign dispatches for TV Nine's Sunday commented when this book first came out: "I have been chased by a soldier but never shot at.
Throughout the conflict I am thinking “what does this mean?”
“What’s happening to this country?”
On the battle front there are gains and losses. The more established groups have an advantage on the outcomes and the prospects.
You have to see the wider picture.
Ultimately war doesn’t solve things
there has to be a political settlement."
This is the philosophy of "Lines in the Sand".

Release planned for Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at Willoughby Leisure Centre in Willoughby, New South Wales Australia.

On the benches facing the swimming pool windows.
