tbr--Dad says I have to read this straight through, or as quickly as possible--"it's important." That means, it will be read over vacation.
An engrossing and intriguing story about the sad and violent childhood of a brother and sister, which takes place in India. It's written by the brother, who is working through his past, in order to meet an important future challenge. The order of events skips around quite a bit, as they do when people are looking back on their lives. Sometimes, the story put me in mind of a Nabokov novel called Ada, though it's not as hard to read.

I received this book in the mail yesterday from pinkrosymolly.
After four years (wow!), I finally read this Mount TBR book. I found the book intriguing, since I have rarely read anything similar. This is definitely a book the reader has to pay attention to: the characters don't have names; the narrative switches from the past to the present to the future; and it often switches between the real and imagined.
I plan to release this book soon.
