Excellent study of the fast food industry and its effects on both consumers and the people who work within it. I was particularly effected by the stories of workers in the meat packing industry. In fact, I'd challenge anyone to read this book and remain unaffected. It exposes the fast food industry for the uncaring, dangerous beast that it is. Read this, and never set foot in a McDonalds again.
I got this from fellow Berkeley bookcrosser MrMustard yesterday. I'll start reading it immediately.
Incredibly well written and researched. I challenge any reader of this book to eat fast food ever again. A fascinating read that left me sad, furious, disgusted and much wiser.
