I always mean to pick up less than I leave but temptation gets to me. This is about my generation, so shall be interested to peek behind the events of the rock 'n' roll in the Uk when I was a fan, though I prefered th Beatles to the Stones.

It is my generation! I was never a Stones fan, preferring Cliff Richards, etc and later the Beatles. It was interesting to read about names I remember, mainly the first half of the book. As a schoolgirlI used to wonder too why Johnnie Ray was such an idol but Bill Haley did appeal to me before Elvis.

Written just like the antics of Oldham so it puts you right into his style. Very interesting about the times and how the younger generation changed their view on the world and the birth of modern rock and roll.

Great read for not only a Rolling Stones fan, but for a Rock and Roll history fan.
