This is the first book I am entering on BookCrossing. My plan had been to release books as I travel. However, I think I shall find a good place near home for this first offering.

This book was suggested to me by a friend when we were both, as non-profit organization board members, dealing with a very difficult staff member who's agenda could not at all be understood. She said, "some people are evil, because they have just never been exposed to good."

M. Scott Peck is one of my favorite authors. "The Road Less Traveled" series always has something new to say to me. I have gone back to a number of the books along with the original many times.

This book gives remarkable insight into evil. This is especially true when looking at everyday people who don't even know they are evil, but leave a trail of it and the hurt that follows everywhere they go.

From a psychological and spiritual perspective Peck has great things to offer us all. However, I am personally very skeptical of his view on Possession and Exorcism. While I am a person who believes in God and the strength of the Holy Spirit, I believe that evil is related to one's distance from God and denial of the Holy Spirit rather than possession by dedicated demons.

I do hope I never have to face anything that would prove that theory to be incorrect.
