Lifted from lytteltonwitch while she wasn't looking.

Everyone knows the tale of Hamlet and his dog strudel. What makes this copy so peculiar is that it is blue. And there are notes in the margins from some long forgotten student who has long forgotten Shakespeare, or wishes he could. Or she, but we won't go into that just now. She's probably forgotten him long ago. The moment they shared was nothing to her.

One particular note is to be found on page fifty-two (seffentie-three of the folio version). "He's not sure about his mother." A reference to her wooden leg and use of the words "All right" at embarrassing moments - serving tea, for example. Everyone would wonder, and it's a marvellous point of character that he doesn't hit her with the tulips earlier in the play. Still, that would spoil everything and there'd be no tension for the next twenty pages (twentie pajes).

A must read for anyone who has ever lost their trousers in a fish market.
