This book has won several prizes and as a first novel, looked intriguing to me. Its intertwining of religion, culture, geography and psychology appealed to me immediately and it looks to be a richly-textured story. A nice fat book, perfect for summer reading

Although I still haven't read this one, I find myself with 2 copies so I am happy to contribute this copy to a bookbox fsr is putting together to help out a fellow bookcrosser who is currently without books, due to the evacuation caused by Hurricane Katrina.

Sent in a package of RABCK books after Hurricane Katrina. For two monhs I thought I had lost EVERYTHING, all my books, but once allowed in the city, our house was part of a small section with no flooding. Thank you for this book and I'll write again once I finish this. It looks great! I received SO MANY books that I'm going to put this under "Available" but plan on getting thru each and every book. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness. The stack by my bed in a mile high but I LOVE READING!!
