I got this at a library book sale, and I am still reading it. When I'm done, I will release it.
A fascinating read - I loved the way he unfolded the story through each characters point of view. Makes you think about common perceptions, and peoples motivations.

Received from fellow BookCrosser at Meet-up July 13. I had previously heard a lot about this book. In 2002 it was the book of choice for the "If All of Rochester Read the Same Book..." initiative, but I didn't read it then. After I finish one or both of the books I'm reading now, I might start it.
I have just given this book to a colleague. We both vacation near where the story is set in the Adirondack Mountains, so I think he'll appreciate it in the way that I did; although I had to warn him that as a parent, it's a difficult book to read. Despite the tragedy that occurs at the beginning of the novel, the central characters tell their own stories, which keep the reader captivated.
