Not sure what to make of this book. It had good reviews which is why I read it but I did not find it as good as I thought it would be. Will pass it on and see what anyone else thinks.
Released to Shylock to see what she makes of it. Hope she'll send it far and wide after that.
Set in the Vatican, which is enough bait to twitch in front of me. Hope i'm not disappointed too.
Hmmm, sorry phantomcougar, but i concur.I was hoping to be drawn into evocative images of Rome,a city i know well, but Michael Dibdin he ain't. All the cops seemed the same,so i kept confusing who was who. I got the feeling the plot was made up as he went along,on the strength of a couple of ideas & images he had about the killer's modus operandi. There was no pace & a very fuzzy definition of what was going on. Don't think i'll be rushing out to buy the sequel...
