May 04 Oprah book

This was my pick for our book club for November 2005. We haven't had our discussion yet, but from talking to various members it sounds like we all had some problems getting into it. I was expecting more from this book for some reason and I'm not really sure what my problem was. I felt curiously let down when I finally finished although I did think that the writing style was very good, I guess the story just didn't grab me and that made it a hard read for me. I didn't feel very attached to any character but Mick and I did find myself wondering what ever became of her. I am going to rent the movie soon to see if that can bring the story to life for me.

I have loaned this book to a fellow bookclub member and when I get it back I will be releasing it.
