Is condemned prisoner John Coffey a devil in human form? Or is he a far, far different kind of being?

I bought this book at a secondhand bookstore in Darwin, NT, so it's already travelled quite a long way!

I'm in the bad habit of reading my books in one evening. I did it with this one last night. And even though I didn't finish until about 2:30am, I had trouble sleeping afterwards. Some of King's images ... persist.
This is a great book. I don't read King's horror novels, but I think his regular novels are cracking stories (with only occasional grossness).
If someone would like to tell me which kind of novels his Dark Tower series are, I might have a go at them...
