I have enjoyed Tracy Chevalier books, they are always beautiful and interesting. This looked so good set in Venice or Murano to be precise. Glassmaking family and a woman trying to be an artist as well in male surroundings. I think the time perspective felt a little odd and how the different times of history were sort of anecdotal. The pest and covid, the slow decline of Venice, Casanova, they sort of felt like a collection of stories, oddly meaningless.

In the end I did enjoy reading about Orsola Rosso's journey through the centuries, but felt a little dissappointed.

I hope to release the book in a very special setting and really hope it will find a new reader.
