This one’s a bit of a new twist for private eye Spenser. He’s delving into Holocaust survivors and scams in the fine art trade. But he’s still head-over-heels in love with Susan, and still wise-cracking. This is a quick read, if you just need a little winter reset.

Left the book on a chair, kind of hidden under my table, hoping I could make my escape before staff noticed the book and tried to return it to me ;o)
But as often happens, staff had spotted the book before I even made my exit, and came running after me, asking “Did you forget your book?”
I replied as I usually do, “No, I didn’t forget it.”
“Oh, it isn’t your book?”
“No, not any more.”
I hope staff will notice the label I left on the book, and realize that it’s a FREE book, traveling the world, starting in BayView.
