1989 Harper Trophy trade paperback of the 1958 tale of an old hobo in Paris who adopts a struggling mother with children before Christmas. I found this copy today in the Laurel Ave. Little Free Library.
Edit January 14, 2025: This was good, but I just skimmed to end for time. It's for younger readers, and runs short. I currently have this ranked at #7710 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
