Chilling future predictions of how women can be used for nothing but their childbearing capabilities.

Journal Entry 2 by Megi53 from Danville, Virginia USA on Tuesday, March 14, 2006
I read a bit of this book -- it's very compelling. I think I'm going to get back to it (maybe check out a copy from the library) after my kids both leave home and I retire so I can concentrate on it better.

Reserved for a Missouri bookcrosser.

While I was thumbing through this book to make sure all the pages were intact before I sent it off to replace a ray book, I noticed that at the very end there is a "history" section. It looked extraordinarily good!

Mailed to Missouri yesterday.

Arrived today addressed to Dodau. Bet that confused the postman. I have a few in front of this but will read and send on in a week or so

This is the second of Margaret Atwoods books I have read and both times I've hated the ending. She draws out a long plot and just as it seems to be building up to a climax she ends the book and you never know what happens. I hate that because I wonder about it for days. She must have an idea of where her characters went next so why keep it to herself. But this was an enjoyable book up to that point.

Arrived this morning, much appreciated! Will start it as soon as I have finished with 'We Need to Talk About Kevin'.

Journal Entry 11 by lostbookisland on Wednesday, June 20, 2007
This book has washed ashore at the Lost Book Island after not being heard from for many months. This new arrival will be shown to a room and be allowed a bit of rest before being introduced to the many fun things to do here at the island.

All around there are books sipping cool drinks under shady palms while other books participate in a wide variety of beach sports. There is plenty of sand, surf and sun here for all of the lost and wayward books to enjoy.

It is hoped that very soon a new journal entry will come to rescue this book from the island and send it back out into the BookCrossing world so that it may continue on its journey. It is hoped that the new journal entry will tell all the interested parties where this book has been this long time and where it will be traveling to next.
