The other book whoch came in a fabulous surprise parcel. Thank you my dear. Looking forward to reading this however the Japan book obviously took precedence!

When I first saw the title, I wasn't so sure. Having lived in NZ and seen an American presentation of life in Antartica, (and felt the polar frost in the room!) my sense we just shouldn't be there has been amplified. What I loved about this book is the fact she cut through the pretense - it's not about science but politics and sudo ownership! Thank goodness I got over myself and read it!
