I found this slim hardcover in this Little Free Library in Nashua NH while dropping off some books of my own. It's set in a fantasy/magic world, and focuses on two main characters: Onna, who has innate talents in numbers and magic, but is forbidden from attending her nation's magical academy because she is a woman - so she sets off for another country to try her luck there.

Meanwhile, Tsira, a troll, has been attempting to learn who is targeting and killing trolls - while helping a badly-injured human back to health and forming a very unusual bond with him.

The separate storylines eventually converge, with various romances and quests and tragedies inserting themselves. Interesting world-building here.

I left this book in the Little Free Library; hope someone enjoys it!
