Leland Fowler is a deputy state attorney in Vermont and a widower with a young daughter. He has a chronic sore throat which conventional medicine does not seem to be able to remedy so he turns to homeopath Carissa Lake who cures both his sore throat and his aching loneliness. Leland realises he has fallen in love with Carissa when one of her asthma patients falls into an allergy induced coma and she comes under investigation. Leland is faced with a moral and ethical dilemma and I feel he makes some really stupid decisions for a deputy state attorney. I could not believe how naive this man was in trying to cover up what his girlfriend had said to her patient and changing her notes.
