I found this softcover in this new-to-me Little Free Library in Derry NH while dropping off some books of my own, and nabbed it for another release copy.

The concept: two people survive a plane crash in the South Pacific but spend a couple of years on a remote island before they're rescued. The story covers their survival as well as the fallout of their return to civilization, where their respective spouses have had a rough time themselves. The story is billed as featuring devastating secrets, but - while the events are certainly traumatic enough for all concerned - I didn't find the revelations of the secrets all that surprising. Well, except for one: won't go into it here as it's a significant spoiler, but it felt really bizarre and boundary-stomping to me, even though the characters seemed to get past it in-story.

I left this book in the Little Free Library; hope someone enjoys it!
