I read this book a few years ago and think it's perfect for the "Titles that make you go Hmmmm..." bookbox.
I'm claiming this softcover from the Titles that make you go Hmmm... bookbox. Between the title and the cover-art, I was sold!
Later: This one was... weird. The writing style (all from protagonist Jocelyn's viewpoint, though sometimes in first person and sometimes in third) felt awkward to me, but perhaps that just represented her scattered-yet-obsessive mindset as she copes with having her husband walk out on her and, later, with the loss of nearly all of her assets. The story touches on her need to find clean restrooms when she needs to go while out and about - one of her favorite spots is a funeral home, where she can nip in amid groups of mourners - but her growing concerns over her future make the more humorous bits feel darker. She debates possible jobs with which to support herself, but that... doesn't go well. And as she determines that perhaps it'd be best to just exit quietly, saving up sleeping pills for the purpose, one of her needs-a-public-bathroom excursions puts her on a wildly different path. (I admit I laughed at the revelation of that one - and yet by the very end of the story I wasn't sure just what our beleaguered heroine was going to decide. This could be a very dark story indeed.)
