2002 Stepping Stone trade paperback of the first entry in the series, in which our young hero invents an amazing shrinking machine, which accidentally shrinks him and pals down to specks on the nose of the neighbor's dog, with only eight hours to get back to normal size! I found this copy a couple days ago in the middle Brown Little Free Library.
Edit July 13, 2024: This was fun, but I just skimmed to end for time. It ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, to be resolved in the next entry in the series, in the bathroom. It's for young readers and runs short. I currently have this ranked at #7940 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
