A serial killer with a taste for medical experimentation is on the loose in New Orleans. Dr Wren Muller is a forensic pathologist whose past links her to the killer nicknamed The Butcher
At 242 pages this is quite a short book and the author tries to pack so much into the story that you really don't get to learn much about any of the characters. The serial killer novel has been done better elsewhere

A sadistic killer is at large in The New Orleans area of Louisiana. He toys with his victims and experiments on then before he kills them. Wren Muller is the forensic pathologist and has an encyclopaedic knowledge and is determined to bring this butcher to justice, but he keeps eluding her. Then he leaves her a clue that she can’t ignore, she knows who he is and where to find him, as he tried to kill her many years ago but she escaped. Not a bad read.
