Set in 19th century rural Ireland I loved the period detail of this book and the picture it painted of the lives and profound faith of the people.

This really grew on me as it went on. I thought the interactions between all the different characters had so much depth. I also liked how you felt you were getting to know everyone and their secrets at the same pace as Lib. I am saving this one to pass on to Chania via Kirjakko in Sept.
