Many BookCrossers internationally are using www.photobucket.com or www.flickr.com to host their photos. Both allow comments and flickr, I believe has an extensive network, allowing blogging and emailing etc. A quick web search also revealed these sites, though I cannot vouch for them:

The photo album as it exists now may remain on site.
