Finally began reading. Slapping your boyfriend and ending up in court does sounds like they have life pretty much in order in Scotland, if a case like this ends up in court. On the other hand, hitting somebody six weeks prior to the wedding for being called a nag means that there will be plenty of hitting after the honeymoon is over. And if a future teacher can't handle being called names, then she is in for a hard time...
The cleptomanic lady is staying in Hotel Balmoral (pic). I've been there for afternoon tea in 2018 and for a banquet three months ago. The tea was lovely, but the banquet was not 🙁.

From Edinburgh to Prague, could do worse. Even the Soviet era could not spoil Prague.

Joanna got a job in Falkirk. Luckily I didn't brush elbows with the law during the convention there. However, I left Donna Leon's inspector Brunetti -book by the window of Caesar & Howie law firm...

I have to say McIntyre has improved as a writer since his first book Relatively guilty, which I gave up rather soon, but this Munro-character is a scumbag in a suit. I hope this is not one of those autobiographical novels which seem to be popular nowadays. I hope some defence lawyers also value the trueth and the court of law is not just their playground.
Pic: The Meadows were being mentioned. Luckily I went there only during daytime as the book told me it's the place to get mugged at night.

Finished. Several twists and turns. I hope I won't ever end up in court in Scotland. I wonder why they call judges sheriffs?
Pic: Kirkgate church. Don't know what they were filming on the Royal Mile that day, some costume piece.

Thank you for the book, Kirjakko!
I don´t know if I´ll find any new photos for the journals as you used most of them already.
