The Amazon is a fascinating place, full of wonders, and to me the Rio Negro is the most mysterious and beautiful river in the world - a strange place where pink dolphins play and death can strike without warning. It's also a place where amazing things can happen, where the impossible becomes possible, and all you can do is hang on for the ride. Enjoy.

A classic Howard - a good looking hero, a heroine who knows how to manage on her own and isn't intimidated, and, of course, really steamy sex!

O.k., I'm not giving those nine points because of the story - although it wasn't bad, either. It was believeable and suspenseful, and the bad guys thrown in for good measure were doing what they could to get Jillian and Ben killed (but, naturally, weren't allowed to succeed :-) ).
No, the reason I liked this book was because I had an enjoyable evening (and night) reading it. I loved the spats between Jillian and Ben, and I thought it great that she didn't give in to him just because he demanded it. I had the feeling the whole love affair was moving along according to Jillian's timetable. And the scene in the clearing in the jungle ... that is becoming on of my favourites.

This book is going to knuppifax at the next Meet-Up in Nürnberg. I'm looking forward to her opinion and might make a bookring with it after she's read it.
