I love this gorgeous book, both the tale, and the amazing illustrations~ Lol~ I always love Goble’s books, they are just so beautiful😊

So I have decided to share this one by making it the journal book for the Native American/First Nations/Indigenous Peoples Bookbox .

Just creating a space so I can come back and put all pertinent info here

The box and this beautiful journal is with me now. I can't resist reading this book with its lovely tale and colorful illustrations.
I've emailed judygreeneyes, and hopefully get her address soon so I can mail it next Monday before I leave for vacation.

The traveling Indigenous Peoples Book Box has arrived at my home. I'm going through the books and finding some interesting ones. I'll try to get the box moving late this week or early next week. This journal book is beautiful, I love the illustrations.

Side note: among my quarters were three with connections to indigenous peoples: one for the Effigy Mounds National Monument of Iowa; one honoring Wilma Mankiller, who was the first woman elected principal chief of the Cherokee Nation; and one honoring Maria Tallchief, an Osage woman from Oklahoma, widely considered the first American prima ballerina.
