I love this gorgeous book, both the tale, and the amazing illustrations~ Lol~ I always love Goble’s books, they are just so beautiful😊

I got the box today, via in-person handoff at a BC meetup. (This is a lovely book, a fine choice for the bookbox journal!)

Side note: among my quarters were three with connections to indigenous peoples: one for the Effigy Mounds National Monument of Iowa; one honoring Wilma Mankiller, who was the first woman elected principal chief of the Cherokee Nation; and one honoring Maria Tallchief, an Osage woman from Oklahoma, widely considered the first American prima ballerina.
