I love this gorgeous book, both the tale, and the amazing illustrations~ Lol~ I always love Goble’s books, they are just so beautiful😊

The traveling Indigenous Peoples Book Box has arrived at my home. I'm going through the books and finding some interesting ones. I'll try to get the box moving late this week or early next week. This journal book is beautiful, I love the illustrations.

Side note: among my quarters were three with connections to indigenous peoples: one for the Effigy Mounds National Monument of Iowa; one honoring Wilma Mankiller, who was the first woman elected principal chief of the Cherokee Nation; and one honoring Maria Tallchief, an Osage woman from Oklahoma, widely considered the first American prima ballerina.
