A Sting in the Tale

Found in the most loveliest of english bookshops in Berlin: 'Shakespeare and Sons Bookstore'.
Really enjoyed this important resource about bees but came across something that really annoyed me: the author ensured he included the names of the PhD students that either worked with him or on studies that helped contribute information to his book, however he felt it was necessary to describe one of the female students as 'pretty and terribly well-spoken' - why, why, why?? Did he at any point describe the appearance or speech of his male counterparts - no of course he didn't. This was written in 2013 so let's hope Goulson has realised the error of his ways.
