Jenny Shimada is on the lam for an act of violence again the United States government. She agrees to care for three younger fugitives. One of them is the kidnapped granddaughter of a wealthy newspaper magnate in San Francisco who has embraced the ideology of her captors. A Pulitzer Prize finalist, A New York Times Notable Book, A Los Angeles Times Best Book, and A San Francisco Chronicle Best Book.

Sounds like the kidnapping of Patty Hearst. I hope that the author recognizes the symptoms of the Stockholm Syndrome, a syndrome in which a captor will begin to identify with his or her captors.
