I read this book a couple of years ago and memory serves that I enjoyed it even though I remember little about it now. It's the story of a woman who died suddenly but still visits her boyfriend 'from beyond the grave'. Good chick-lit.

I really enjoyed the book, but not for the reasons I thought I might.
While Adams seems to have researched her subject well, she did not seem to really embody the experience of talking to someone who has 'crossed over', but instead used that as a back drop for a rom-com.

What I loved about the book was reading a female author who is striving very deeply to understand the male psyche (the main character is male). And while she is very observant and has noticed all sorts of male habits, the internal ramblings of her character kept coming across as very feminine. At first this irritated me, but then I came to love it. Instead of hearing the characters 'voices' I was hearing the authors voice as she struggles and strives to understand relationship between a man and a woman and by putting herself in a mans shoes she gave me the opportunity to see much more clearly how she experiences life... and in that bared her soul to me, which was a very beautiful thing to do.
