I found this softcover in this Little Free Library in Haverhill MA while dropping off some books of my own. It's a reimagining of the tale of Moses, from the viewpoint of his sister - who, here, winds up taking on the role of a princess in the house of Pharaoh, along with Batya, daughter of Pharaoh and adopted mother of Moses. An interesting spin on the tale, with lots of detail as to daily life in ancient Egypt, whether in the palaces or in the huts of the enslaved workers - and the shift of focus to Moses' sister, one who has adopted the customs and beliefs of Egypt while trying to remain connected to those of her own people, presents an unexpected view of events.
