my thoughts:
Verity is one of those books you cannot put down. Well, sometimes it would get a little too intense and I would put the book down - but only for about 10 minutes or so, then I would pick it back up again. I really don't want to say too much about the story itself, as I don't want to ruin it for future readers. What I will say is that the foreshadowing, suspense building, and story development were fantastic. For a period of time, any one of the main characters could have been the antagonist as the story could have gone in any direction. As the book came to a close, it was wrapping up how I suspected it would. Then there were two more chapters that changed the narrative entirely. This is one of those books that will stick with me for awhile.

I enjoyed this book. This was the first book by this author that I've read, and I am interested in reading some others. I thought I had the ending figured out, but then what happened was what I originally thought and then dismissed.
It is a love story, of sorts.
