Maeve Binchey's books are always an easy and enjoyable read. She has a way of making you feel like you live in the Irish towns and villages in which she sets most of her novels. This novel is no different. It's basically a set of intertwining stories, woven together by a weekly trip home on the lilac bus. Plus, as a bonus, there are an additional 4 short stories at the end of the book.

Luckily, when I went for a coffee this morning the book was still there. I just started reading Binchy books and really enjoy them, especially 'Scarlet Feather'.
Look forward to relaxing with this book -
Thanks MelanieMac

Funny, I usually love her books.
This one was way too unfinished. I really wanted to read about the dinner party. And the second half of the book was a collection of short stories, unrelated to the first half of the book. The stories were good but i guess i was too preoccupied with the earlier story. The writing is still great and characters engaging, i just wanted to have some of the bigger events to happen.
