WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Releasing to unknown reader
Picked up at Meetup.
This was a fascinating read, and even though I have read so many books about WW2 lately this one was a bit different, as it was not about prisoners of war surviving a prison camp and torture at the hands of the Germans, although there was still persecution by the Germans. This was based on a true story of the Helsingor Sewing Club, a group of Danish people who helped Danish Jews escape to Sweden. Cecile is cleaning out her grand mothers flat after her death when she discovers some jewelry hidden in a cigar box and a diary written during the war. She learns of her grandmothers courage and bravery in helping rescuing and saving the lives of many Danish Jews because it was the right thing to do.
