Oooh, I love the word expound! However, I'll be brief!
I think this book couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a romance or a thriller and so vacillated between the two. However the descriptions of all the settings were wonderful, very evocative. I could feel the heat and hear the cicardas and smell the scents of the flowers as they were described - I like it when a book can do that.
