I've rather liked some previous Joanne Harris I've read, so just had to pick this from the meet-up table out of curiosity! Thank you for the book and nice chats at Allsop Arms, missmarkey!

I have to admit I started skim reading after a couple of chapters. For some reason I'm annoyed by Vianne's character, that supposedly had already turned into a strong, self-confident woman, but turned out to be a constantly overly-protective and somewhat insufferable in the one book I thought would be a celebration of her character and the lives of those around her. Apparently this book just wasn't to my taste, as it's beautifully written, and I'm sure it's to many Chocolat fans liking. I'll rather forget the last three books in the series existing, and let the characters of the first book live their own lives in my imagination.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Who knows where the book will travel next from 2024 Convention! Will YOU be returning home with it?

I have read alot of other books by the author. Truth be told I grew up on the movie adaption of Chocolate. We used to rent it alot and in the end my mom bought the movie. As an adult I read the book and I like it alot as I liked the books influenced of norse myth and magick. This will be a very interesting read.
