Picked this cosy mystery up to grant a wish at the Falkirk Convention. I did have a quick read and it was okay, but not as good as the Monica Ferris books.

I grew up in a yarnaholic's family, so looking forward to reading this.

Began reading and for me Cadbury by the Sea sounds phony, as in my mind Cadbury equals chocolate. And can a town council really ban restaurants ( I got it, restaurant chains) and outlaw streetlights? Perhaps I ought to concentrate on the big picture, but details ought to be correct, too...

When my Mom passed away in 2018 I found skeins in every possible closet except the water closet… They filled three huge black garbage sacks and I gave most of them to friends who knit, saved only some pretty colours just in case. I’m not a nutty knitter myself. I know how to knit, but I never finish anything. A year ago I gave the rest away to Ukrainian refugees, because a client of ours who worked at one of the centers said that all yarn they get is immediately taken. Mom would be pleased to know that her yarn was given to refugees. She was already in the old folks’ home when she was very annoyed one day and said she thinks my eldest brother is a bit simple.
”When I told him I was worried what Putin might do, he began to talk to me like one would to a child. He said no sane man would start a war anymore. I said Yes, no SANE man, but I’m not so sure about his sanity. Just how simple can that brother of yours be?”
So never underestimate the reasoning of elderly people who have already once been attacked by a mad Russian / Soviet leader. Mom nearly died on the first day when they bombed Helsinki. She was getting into a bus which caught fire and turned into charlcoal. So she saw through Putin’s mask well before we did.
Actually I came here to say I think I know who the culprit is.

Finally finished. Half a day too late, as we had the Helsinki BC-meet-up today, but there will be other options.
The culprit was my second suspect.

There will be a meet-up in Tampere next weekend and Chania, whom I still haven't met in person, is going there. As Annelis has kindly promised to be a courier for two books, I'm sending five...

I think I´ll read this one first. There are still five books left in the parcel and I added one instead of this one.
