This was one of the left-over books of today's Dutch summer meeting.

Four short stories from the 1830s and 40s, set in Purtian New England, mostly about Christian themes like sin. The Artist of the Beautiful is rather unusual, about a robotic insect - SciFi elements in the 1840s already!
