This softcover was one of the books included in my second subscription box from The Wordy Traveler. [I got two books with Africa themes, plus assorted goodies.] It's a novel based on the real-life adventures and romances of Beryl Markham, and opens with a lively map of Kenya - a reminder for me of a once-in-a-lifetime trip I was on with some very dear friends, over twenty years ago now. But the memories of that time, and the country and the wildlife and the people, will always be with me.

The novel itself... didn't grab me {wry grin}, so I'll pass the book along and hope it finds the right reader!
