Purchased in a Warragul Op shop in a recent road trip.
I had great hopes for this book after reading good reviews about this author.
It started off very strong although I thought the premise of a young girl, Molly, being a gravedigger, was a bit of a stretch. There was quite a lot of physical abuse portrayed which did in fact, slow down my reading as I did not want to be confronted by violence late at night in my reading.
The depiction of the top end was good but when the story moved away from the bombing of Darwin into searching for Longcoat Bob in the interior, the story became too fantastical for me. I did finish it but I think I prefer to read more realistic stories.
