Excellent novel by John Grisham. Explore the administrative mechanisms associated with an execution of a death row inmate. Accused and convicted...but he didn't do it. But why doesn't he tell who did? A KKK oath disallows divulgence. A KKK associate steps across the line and commits murder. His unwitting cohort takes the fall. One member of his progeny, who by the way breaks the generational tradition of membership into the KKK, decides to assist in appealing the death sentence of a doomed inmate...it is the inmate's grandson. John Grisham narrates another excellent insight into the otherwise unkown and unconsidered efforts of a death penalty appeals attorney. Unrelenting efforts culminate as the governor admits that the prisoner is probably innocent. The inmate is strapped into the confines of the GAS CHAMBER which the reader is made intimately familiar with throughout the story. John Grisham has researched his story well. The Governor is on hand for the moments preceeding the execution....So is the real murderer!..Have the ingenious efforts of his grandson prevailed? You'll thank John Grisham for his ending. All 600 plus pages will hold your interest. Highy recommended.
Release planned for Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Best Western in Deltona, Florida USA.
