The Haunting of L
1 journaler for this copy...
Following the tragic death of his mother, Peter Duvett leaves his Halifax home and travels to Churchill, Manitoba, where he has accepted a job as an assistant to a photographer he has never met. Duvett soon meets with Linn's exquisite new bride, Kala Murie, who tells Peter the truth about her husband before seducing him on her wedding night: Linn not only takes pictures of disasters... he arranges them.
This story is most certainly bizarre. It moves a bit slow, but the tension is always present, dense and suffocating, a dark current swirling under the surface, threatening to swallow the characters.
