This is one of the books I bought from the Salvation Army charity shop in Ripon yesterday, chosen because I've enjoyed several of this author's light-hearted novels previously.

A story of three generations of women, a mother, her two daughters and the daughter of the elder daughter, mostly set on Martha's Vineyard. There are men and boys among the many characters but the focus is very much on the relationships between the four women. I enjoyed it.
