This is one of the books I swapped in the Roecliffe red telephone box book exchange while on our way to visit family this afternoon. So far I've only read Eats, Shoots and Leaves by this author so I thought I'd see what her mysteries are like!

This story of policing Brighton in 1957 is great fun, and very funny, with some wonderfully over-the-top characters/caricatures. I particularly liked Mrs Groynes, the police station charlady - and poor Constable Twitten who's too clever for his own good and far, far too keen for the liking of his superiors!
