One of many books that I recently acquired for the purposes of sharing it with others. This book was selected at The Book Thing of Baltimore to be given away at the Kensington Day of the Book 2023.
Like all books for younger readers that I register, this is done in memory of Becky, the daughter of a dear friend and fellow bookcrosser, ResQgeek, who was tragically killed in August 2010.

I brought this softcover (c. 1972, 1999) home from the 16th International Day of the Book Festival in Kensington, Maryland, USA, because no fairgoer chose it. I hope to nevertheless keep this book traveling.

From Wikipedia: After its publication in 1972, Bless Me, Ultima emerged as one of the "Top Ten Most Frequently Challenged Books" in the years 2013 and 2008...Specific reasons for the challenges in 2013 were "occult/Satanism, offensive language, religious viewpoint, sexually explicit" and similarly in 2008 of "occult/satanism, offensive language, religious viewpoint, sexually explicit violence.
The Little Free Library of Twinbrook (#7720) releases banned books!
