This is one of my favorite books! A mixture of warm characters, travel, adventure... and hilarious misadventures. The version I'm releasing seems to be a slightly different translation than the one I read (from the library,) and was released as a way to promote a movie somewhat inspired by it. The writing style appears to be a bit more informal, but it doesn't change anything too drastically! I'm quite thrilled to be able to introduce Phileas Fogg and Passepartout to someone.

I see you have just stumbled upon a book out in “the wild,” (specifically, balancing on the handle of a classroom door… Cable Studio Room 109…) which has this strange “bookcrossing” sticker delicately posted on it, a mysterious typewriter written note within, and a code carefully inscribed inside… you would think Phileas Fogg was in charge of such rigorous planning!

Bookcrossing is a website for “travelling books.” A member of this site registers a book, and then puts it out into “the wild” for someone else to randomly find! The goal of it is to turn the world into a library, and (I personally hope) put even more whimsy into the world than it already has.
